After feedback from customers who like to apply Iron (Fe) through a physical spreader we have developed Angus Spreadable Iron. This product is a 20% Fe product which will deliver the same excellent results as our soluble granular ferrous sulphate. Why use Angus Spreadable Iron? An excellent choice for growers with a spreader but no liquid application equipment Produces a rapid green up suitable for all turf situations Great source of calcium and sulphur Helps to reduce compaction Increases soil health through better aeration and water infiltration What application rate do I need? Please ensure that the label is read caretully. An application of 3 grams / m2 of Angus Spreadable Iron is sufficient to achieve an attractive green up in amenity situations. This equates to 2 grams m2 of iron sulphate. PLEASE BE AWARE that an application of 7.5 grams / m2 of Angus Spreadable Iron can have adverse effects on moss. This equates to 5 grams / m2 of iron sulphate. We do no recommend application rates higher than 7.5 grams / m2 of Angus Spreadable Iron. What to do if it stains? If Fe comes into contact with hard surfaces such as concrete paths staining may occur. This staining is effectively a rust residue. To remove it, a light acid-based cleaning product is recommended.
