I have had some encounters with snakes on my backyard in the past, one black snake, and 2 copperheads. Luckily, I managed to relocate them by catching them with an insect net / stick, and putting them in a bucket for relocation. Obviously the insect net is not design for this, so I had hard time to manage the situation with that tool. I ordered this snake hook to be prepared on my next encounter, however, I skipped that part of the description (my fault) that says this item is just 33 inches long. Fortunately all the snakes I’ve seen over my patio have been small to juveniles. Never an adult size snake. I guess this hook/telescopic stick will work just fine with small to medium sized snakes. But I don’t see myself handling a LARGE adult snake with this short size stick. I mean, not sure if an adult size copperhead could just jump over those 33 inches that keep us apart, lol. But anyway, it seems sturdy, nice shaped hook, and good grip in the black handle.
